VOM FASS Texas BBQ Sauce

The perfect BBQ Sauce recipe to compliment a wide array of dishes, from Steaks to Chicken. Dad is sure to love this no matter what you pair it with!



Shopping List


Makes about 6 cups

  • 4 cups ketchup (no high fructose)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup VOM FASS Apple Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2/3 cup VOM FASS Grape Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T. chili powder
  • 2 T. light brown sugar
  • 1 T. VOM FASS Salt , freshly ground
  • 2 T. VOM FASS Pepper , coarsely ground

  1. In a saucepan, combine all of the ingredients and stir well. 
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Simmer gently for 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
  4. Use immediately or let cool, cover, and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. 


All-Star Marinade

This marinade goes well with red or white meat. Our Apple Balsamic Star gives it a fruity touch. Try the marinade with beef Shish Kabobs or pork baby back ribs.

Serves 4
  • 3 T. VOM FASS Cru Cravenco Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 T. VOM FASS FassZination Walnut Oil
  • 2 T.  VOM FASS Apple Balsamic Star
  • T. Dijon mustard
  • T.  honey
  • 1 T.  VOM FASS Salt & Pepper

    1. Mix the Apple Balsamic Star, salt, pepper and thyme together.
    2. Add the honey and mustard and stir until blended.
    3. Finally, add Cru Cravenco Olive Oil and FassZination Walnut Oil.
    4. Mix everything together well.
    5. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper as needed.


Main Course:

Garlic Shrimp

For the Dad who loves seafood, Shrimp is always an easy and tasty dish.

Serves 2

  • 1/2  cup  VOM FASS Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3  chili peppers, crushed
  • 8  cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 12  shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • VOM FASS Salt and Pepper , to taste

  1. Rinse shrimp and pat dry. 
  2. In a large pan over high heat, heat the VOM FASS Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 
  3. Once the oil is hot, add chili peppers, garlic, shrimp, salt and pepper, and continue to cook for about 3 minutes on a high heat.


Juicy Sirloin Steak Marinade

Steak is the signature Father’s Day food of choice. Nothing beats a steak prepared with this recipe for Juicy Sirloin Steak Marinade.



Shopping List


Serves 4

• 4 beef top sirloin steaks (each about 2 “thick)
• 3/4 cup VOM FASS Rapeseed Oil
• 2 sprigs of rosemary (or 1 T. dried rosemary)
• 2 sprigs thyme (or 1 T. dried thyme)
• 4 garlic cloves
• 1 tsp. VOM FASS Salt
• 1 tsp.  VOM FASS Pepper

  1. Pluck herbs from the stems. 
  2. Peel garlic cloves and cut into thin slices. 
  3. In a casserole dish, pour the oil over the garlic, salt, pepper, and the herbs, mix. 
  4. Place steaks in the dish and coat with the marinade bothsides. 
  5. Cover the casserole dish and place in the refrigerator overnight. 
  6. Approximately 45 minutes before grilling the meat, remove it from the refrigerator. 
  7. Prepare one side of the grill for high heat. 
  8. Remove the steaks from the marinade and dry with a paper towel. 
  9. Place the meat over the hottest part of the grill and sear for 2 minutes. 
  10. Turn and sear the other side for 2 minutes. 
  11. Move the steaks to the cooler side of the grill, over indirect heat. 
  12. Cook the steaks until They Are done (about 10 minutes, 130-140F for medium rare). 
  13. Before serving, allow steaks to rest for 5 minutes.


Pork Ribs in Sesame Sauce

These Grilled Pork Ribs in a Sesame Sauce are sure to win Dad over, Guaranteed!



Shopping List


Serves 4

• 1 large rack (about 2.5 lbs.) Pork baby back ribs
• 2 T. sesame seeds
• 2 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
• 1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled and coarsely chopped
• 3 T. VOM FASS FassZination Sesame Oil
• 1 T. brown sugar
• 3 T. soy sauce
• 4 T. chicken broth
• 4 tsp. Fino Sherry (a very dry, light-bodied sherry)
• 1 small onion, chopped

At the butchers, ask them to detach the silver skin and divide the

Prepare grill for medium heat.
Remove the ribs from the marinade and dry with a paper towel.
Transfer marinade to a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until Reduced .
Place ribs, bone side done on grill.
Often Baste with marinade Reduced, until almost cooked through,
15-20 minutes.
Turn over and grill for 5-10 minutes until done at additional.
