The NEW Gringo Bandito Super Hot Sauce Review!

If you have never heard of or haven’t tried Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce yet – You most certainly should! It is mine and Jeremy’s favorite hot sauce and goes great on everything…We have been fans for a while and it’s our honor to do a review.

Gringo Bandito was started in 2004 by Dexter Holland, singer of the punk rock band, The Offspring. Being a huge fan of the band since the 90’s, Jeremy had to give this hot sauce a try and we were both amazed at how good this stuff was! We were putting it on everything, couldn’t get enough!

Then in 2011, Dexter released his 2nd annual “Private Reserve” and we had to get our hands on it!

We love the Original, Green and annual Private Reserve, but the main reason for this blog post is that last week we received a package from Gringo Bandito with a FREE bottle of their newest version, Super Hot Sauce! Jeremy was chosen at random to try it out and give a review…cool huh!? We were pretty excited about it… This sauce is no joke, it IS definitely SUPER hot !!

And… being the “foodies” that we are we had to try it out in a recipe right away! Gringo Bandito’s Super Hot Sauce hits your tastebuds with something that most hot sauces lack a great deal of: FLAVOR! Both the Scorpion and Jolokia Chilli pepper’s really stand out in this sauce. The heat creeps in slowly, and stays with you long enough to listen through your favorite song by The Offspring. It’s HOT!!

Immediately, Jeremy got to thinking of something quick and simple that we could cook to try this sauce out the RIGHT way. Thus, a recipe for Super Spicy Chicken Wings, of course!

super hot bandito wings 2-1Ingredients
  1. About a dozen chicken wings
  2. 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning (or your favorite spice-blend)
  3. 1 tablespoon melted butter
  4. dash of salt and pepper, to taste
  5. Gringo Bandito Super Hot Sauce, to taste (Watch out! This stuff is SMOKIN’  Hot!)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Make sure your wings are room temperature. To do this, leave them out for 20-30 minutes before you begin.
  3. With a chef’s knife or kitchen shears, remove all tips off of the wings. Mix the wings and all other ingredients except the hot sauce in a bowl, and combine well.
  4. Arrange your wings on a foil lined baking sheet, or on a wire rack. Once your oven is pre-heated, baked for 1 hour or until your wings are crispy and perfectly browned.
  5. Remove the finished wings from the oven, and transfer to a serving tray.
  6. Dress the wings with Gringo Bandito Super Hot Sauce to taste, and enjoy immediately!

I make a Bhut Jolokia hot sauce that you guys might like. I don’t sell it commercially just farmers markets and such. If you want a sample to try drop me an e-mail. Only thing I ask is a honest opinion.
