Madeleines
  1. ¾ cup of sifted cake flour
  2. ½ cup plus 2-3 extra tablespoons of unsalted butter (Use extra butter because some is lost during the straining)
  3. 2 eggs
  4. ½ cup sugar
  5. ½ teaspoon grated lemon peel
  6. ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
  7. ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  8. 2 teabags of Irish Breakfast tea
Glaze
  1. 1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar
  2. 1 cup of brewed Irish Breakfast Tea (allow tea to steep about 5-7 minutes)
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla
