Even though chocolate coconut macaroons may sound like a classic cookie recipe, this recipe is so moist and delicious that it almost tastes like a candybar! The flavor combination of the rich chocolate and the sweet coconut makes this recipe extra tempting. Whether it's served as a dessert after a hearty meal or eaten as a snack during the winter, these easy macaroons are absolutely delicious.

  1. 2 cups oats
  2. 1 cup dried flaked coconut
  3. ¼ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  4. 2 cups sugar
  5. ½ cup butter
  6. ½ cup milk
  7. Chocolate sauce, warm
  1. Mix the oats, coconut and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, boil the sugar, butter and milk together while stirring continuously.
  3. Once it comes to a boil, turn off the heat and pour over the oat mixture.
  4. Mix well to create a lumpy batter.
  5. Use a spoon to drop scoops of the batter on to a tray lined with waxed paper.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees or until the macaroons have solidified.
  7. Cool and dip in the warm chocolate.
  8. Allow to cool on a sheet lined with wax paper before serving.
