Chicken Wings With Blue Cheese Sauce

This all american classic is made better with this rich blue cheese sauce. Chicken wings and blue cheese will be your match made in heaven.

  1. For Chicken Wings
  2. 1/2 stick butter
  3. 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  4. 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
  5. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
  6. 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  7. dash of black pepper
  8. 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  9. 1-2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
  10. 30 chicken wings
  11. For Blue Cheese Sauce
  12. 1/2 cup sour cream
  13. 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  14. 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  15. 1 small clove garlic, chopped
  16. 1 tablespoon buttermilk
  17. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  18. salt and pepper, to taste
  1. For Chicken Wings, mix all the ingredients except chicken in a small saucepan over low heat until the butter is completely melted. Stir occasionally.
  2. Fry the wings in a deep fryer set at 375 degrees, using vegetable or peanut oil. Frying 15 wings at a time for 12-15 minutes works well.
  3. Drain the wings for a few minutes then put them in a bowl.
  4. After all the wings have been fried, pour the sauce over them, cover the bowl, and shake to completely coat the wings.
  5. They can be eaten now, or you can put them on a baking sheet and bake them for a few minutes to get an extra-crispy coating.
  6. For Blue Cheese Sauce: In a food processor, add the sour cream, blue cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, milk and lemon juice until mixed but still chunky. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
